Every single day when I pass by Dairy Queen, I have to exercise enormous control in not going inside and ordering myself a “Blizzard”. It is so damn addictive! As one of the popular American food chains in Vietnam, Dairy Queen is definitely playing its part to fatten the Vietnamese kids and adults alike; Jokes apart, let me start my review by declaring that it is impossible to not fall in love with Dairy Queen.
“Served upside down or free” is what Dairy Queen declares for one of its unique products, “Blizzard”. It is an ice cream like no other; rich, creamy and extremely delicious and comes in amazing flavors. My personal favorites are Chocolate Xtreme and Green Tea Almond. The bits of chunky and chewy Oreo pieces in Chocolate Xtreme make it irresistible, once you have had a taste. The Green Tea Almond on the other hand is a delightful mix of green tea flavor with real almond pieces. They come in four different sizes – Mini, Small, Medium and Large. The Large is a bit too much for my taste but the Small and Medium are perfect depending on my appetite.
I recently also tried their ice cream cakes and was very impressed with them too! The fact that they use the best quality milk and ingredients is very evident in all of their products. There are also a variety of smoothies and drinks but anything without the ice cream is nothing spectacular. So if you are heading to Dairy Queen, stick to the ice creams and I assure you of a heavenly experience.
