The Elbow Room is a well known eatery in district 1. I had heard many good things about it, especially the breakfast items. It’s in the upper price range but I had been told that a visit is memorable, so I had to go.
The staff greet the customers in a nice manner, not subservient but appropriately warm. The décor is very nice with good lighting and soft music plays in the background. The whole setting makes for a very pleasant place to dine & feels a million miles away from other dining options in Saigon. The menu is impressive & the wine list is vast, wine fans may be hard pressed to find a more extensive list of offerings.
I ordered the omelette which & at a price of 125,000đ, I was expecting something truly splendid. In a short space of time I was served my meal, a 3 egg omelette filled with cheese, onions, mushrooms &green pepper. The omelette itself was good, it tasted nice but in my view it lacked cheese. At that price I was expecting a high content of cheese. The ingredients tasted fresh & the whole wheat toast was the best I have had in a long time.
Elbow Room is worthy of 4 stars. The atmosphere and ambience make it a truly nice place to dine. I would suggest Elbow Room for a romantic meal, the décor & wine would make for a special evening.
