Some people might mistake D.2 with “the other side of the world”, but it is actually full of precious places, and Papagayo is definitely one of them no matter where you come from.
A friend of mine was looking for a chilled place to hang out on a Sunday with her baby, and we had heard about Papagayo through a friend, telling us how fabulous it was. It is a baby friendly place indeed.
We met there at noon and turned out, the place is a little oasis. Niching in some palm trees, the sultana couch, the pergola and the pool are a perfect set to have a semi nap afternoon.
The Mediterranean menu is mouth watering as well. As my friend settles for a goat cheese salad, I choose the set menu, with a grilled vegetable salad, and a surf & turf carpaccio, what a delight. The food was perfectly seasoned, the vegetables were tender and crunchy, the carpaccio was deliciously. And when desert time comes along, there is nothing better than to go for the fondant au chocolat, straight out of the oven.
Their selection of meat looked very tempting, as their supplier is the same as many other French restaurants in town.
The Papagayo is by far a fantastic place to sit around on a hot weekend, and do not miss either their “pétanque” events, a great way to meet new people.
