Feeling a bit spirited, tonight I decided not to stick to my habits. And here am I, on my way to the alternate universe of D. 7 to try an Italian restaurant I heard about.
Located on the center of Phú Mỹ Hưng, Papa’s Vietnam clashes with the significant number of Korean restaurants established in this area. In fact, Papa’s Vietnam is an open-air family restaurant, traditionally decorated with those check tablecloths, typical from old-fashioned Italian restaurants.
Me and my friend ordered pizzas, a Norwegian and a Chef’s one which were amazingly huge! Before even tasting it, I was already impressed. The tiny crust was perfectly cooked, at last a restaurant let the pizza in the oven long enough to make it a bit crispy! The ingredients were also great, which made the overall pizza delightful.
The price, 150.000đ to 170.000đ for pizzas and around 30.000đ for a beer, was more than affordable regarding the competition. I only regret a lack of ingredients on the pizza, and the quiet atmosphere I did not expect from this kind of restaurant.
But don’t get me wrong, I had a wonderful dinner andI would totally recommend this place to share a dinner with friends without exceeding your budget.
