As an avid pizza eater, I believe I know a thing or two about pizza after trying hundreds of them in North America, Europe and Asia. I love living in Ho Chi Minh City, but ever since I got here I have been saddened by the small number of quality pizza restaurants in town. I tend to alternate between The Greenhouse, Scoozi, La Hostaria and now also Pizza 4P's.
Normally I go for thin crust Italian style pizzas with simple meat and cheese toppings, but I decided to give these Japanese style pizzas a chance. I believe I was curious to try their home-made mozzarella cheese. I went with friends and as it was packed and we hadn't made reservations, we ended up sitting at the pizza-bar where they make the pizzas. This turned out to be very nice as we could see the ingredients and pizzas being prepared right in front of us. I tried their margherita pizza and it was absolutely phenomenal! Subtle flavours, but from what was clearly high quality ingredients and the crust was perfect. Everyone in my group loved their pizzas and I tried slices from a few other items from the menu which were almost as good as mine.
I highly recommend this place, but do make reservations. It is a classy but still fairly casual place which makes it suitable for almost every kind of occasion. Service is great, and prices are reasonable for what you get even though the pizzas are quite small.
Pizza 4P's, also known as 4P Pizza, is a Japanese pizza restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City. This unusual marriage between Italy and Japan has given us wood fired teriyaki pizza and this establishment is especially proud of their homemade mozzarella cheese.
