Mimi Hotel

I checked into Mimi Hotel today, it is located in an alley off Bui Vien not far from Le Casa restaurant. It has minimal signage & a travel desk at the front, however the small reception area is quite nicely decorated.

I was offered room 5, on the second floor for a very reasonable price of 250,000đ. The room itself is a good size with fridge, TV, air-con, double bed (strictly speaking two singles pushed together), hot shower & WI FI. It could have been cleaned more thoroughly though, I did find several stray hairs from the previous occupant. Plus the dirty towel that had been strategically placed to act as a mat outside the bathroom is not so aesthetically pleasing.

Mimi seems to be a family run affair & they are certainly very welcoming & polite. My bag was carried to my room & whenever passing any of the ‘staff’ I am greeted with a smile & a hello. The WIFI works fine & the shower certainly does get hot, the bed could be a little more comfortable though. However, when remembering the fair price, these small things can readily be negated.

I am giving MIMI 4 stars, primarily due to the good location & thoughtful, easily approachable staff. If one is around this area, Mimi is well worth viewing.
